Retreading Business is a specialist magazine for the tyre retreading industry and claim to be the only truly global specialist publication aimed specifically at the retreading sector.

The magazine was established in 1997 by British tyre industry journalist and publisher, David Wilson. At the time of the magazine's launch David already had over 10 years experience in the tyre publisher sector, having previously worked as editor for both the UK's leading tyre industry journals. During this period he had identified the potential for a specific trade magazine for the retreading industry worldwide, having noticed that the various national tyre industry magazines across Europe, were too wide in their editorial scope for retreaders and too narrow in their circulation, given the increasingly global nature of the retreading industry..

Retreading Business is now firmly established as a vital informational tool for the retreading sector. The magazine has an extremely international profile, with correspondents across the globe and a presence at most key international tyre exhibitions including Autopromotec, Reifen, Recaufair, Tyrexpo Asia, Tyrexpo Africa etc. David Wilson is pictured here on the joint Retreading Business/RMA stand at the 2007 Brityrex exhibition in Manchester, together with RMA Treasurer Sheila Ikin.

In addition to Retreading Business magazine, Retreading Business Ltd also publishes a website, Tyres-Online, which is a consumer tyre information website aimed at UK readers.

Retreading Business has a sister company in Malaysia, Tyreman Enterprise, which publishes "The Tyreman" and "Tyreman China", specialist tyre industry publications for the South East Asian and Chinese markets respectively.

In addition to his publishing role, David Wilson is also the Director of the Retread Manufacturers Association, the official trade body representing the tyre retreading industry in the UK. In this capacity he also sits on the Board of Directors of the Tyre Industry Federation.
