Marangoni Celebrates 10
Years of Impressive Results in Brazil
Working
for 10 years in Brazil, Marangoni is celebrating a decade
of operation with excellent results. The company is one
of the few in the international scenario that operates in
all areas related to the life of the tyre. The expanding
market in the first half of 2010 saw Marangoni achieve a
positive development of trade, which has matured and attained
an overall growth of 15 per cent in 2010.
According to the chairman
of the group in Latin America, Gian Piero Zadra, the aims
of Marangoni are to further accelerate investment in the
country over the next five years. In 2010 alone, the company's
investments were approximately R$ 10 million, but Marangoni's
future vision goes even further.
"Our expectation is to grow
by 2015, by about 35 per cent, "says Gian Piero. Also, according
to Zadra, the retreading market in Brazil may see a recovery
in the short to medium term. "Two factors may positively
influence our market in the coming months: the first will
be the recertified INMETRO that will raise the concept of
retreading tyres in the country, increasing the level of
product quality.
The second, being the consequence
of the first, may be benefits in the area of tax coding,
brought about by the new ecological awareness that will
bring this relief to sectors that have an intrinsic environmental
value, " he says. This scenario can be considered ideal
for Marangoni, since the company has always operated with
an eye on the environment and has always stood by its principles
and the differences in the processes and products it offers.
A
celebration of 10 years of operation for Marangoni in Brazil
took place during an international convention in April,
2010, in Sao Paulo, and also marked a new phase of investment
within the group. The company seized the occasion to launch
various programmes such as Marangoni Sales Force Community,
University Marangoni, Credit Cooperative and Re-Store, among
others. At the same time, the company took the Marangoni
Authorized Retreaders to visit the 9th Recaufair.
The main objective of this
action was to allow Marangoni to bring its partners together
to underline the ambitious goals of the company. "There
have been 10 years of consistency and growth in Brazil.
The convention was an important moment in adding to the
celebration of 10 years of Marangoni's involvement in this
wonderful country. We announced major investments, new projects
and a new approach to our partners, "said the superintendent
of the group in Latin America, Gian Piero. Thanks to entrepreneurship
and the benefits of a strong group, Marangoni Brazil is
now a showcase for all of Latin America. "The next 10 years
will follow this route. Professionalism, creativity, dedication,
quality, partnership, respect for people and the environment
are our key words and our principles for sustainability
and growth, "concluded Gian Piero Zadra.
Prospects for 2011
Today the South American market
represents one third of the overall sales volumes of Marangoni,
and the goal is to build this ranking. The company intention
is to maintain and develop its technological leadership
and continue to invest in production capacity and technical
assistance. "We will continue maintaining the same approach
to the market and our partners, investing in technology
and production to further consolidate our market position,
giving the Marangoni brand credibility and trust you deserve,"
says Gian Piero.
Amongst the company's innovative
plans for next year is the University Marangoni, which is
scheduled to operate for the second half of 2011. This initiative
aims to train the team and the Marangoni Authorized Retreaders
in commercial areas such as technical and management skills.
According to Gian Piero Zadra, the University Marangoni
is a "space", physical and virtual, dedicated to training
and preparedness at all levels of the Marangoni organization,
as well as the Authorized Network.
"The University will also have
an important role in studying and understanding the market
and trends that will influence the future of our organization,"
he adds. The modules are being developed in conjunction
with the support of Marangoni in Italy, each one targeted
to specific retreaders, aiming to prepare them for an increasingly
demanding market.
