New AZuR Partner TRM Strengthens Retreading Worldwide

In an exciting new step, TRM Srl has become a new partner of the AZuR Network Future Tires Alliance. The Italian engineering company has been developing systems for the hot and cold retreading of passenger car, truck, OTR, and aircraft tyres for over 40 years and will now be bringing its expertise and reach to the AZuR Network’s efforts.

Growing Impact of Retreading Collectivisation

With its globally deployed RingTread system, TRM focuses on improving efficiency, consistency, and sustainability. The company develops modular machinery solutions designed to meet the specific requirements of retreaders across multiple market segments. A strong addition to the AZuR Network and a real indicator of the growth of both the network and a strong indicator that their approach to collaboration across the industry is working well.

Based in Ala, in Italy’s Trentino region, TRM is part of the Marangoni Group and manufactures equipment for both hot and cold retreading processes. Its product range includes buffing machines, extruders, preparation units, curing systems, and integrated automation and quality control solutions.

TRM is best known for its RingTread system. This pre-cured retreading method applies a seamless ring of tread to the casing, reducing material stress and eliminating splice points, thereby supporting consistent performance and improved tread wear. Retreaders utilise the system in over 100 countries.

The company also supplies equipment for retreading large OTR tyres, including sizes up to 63 inches, as well as compact systems for passenger and light commercial tyres. Its aircraft tyre retreading machines are built to meet stringent industry standards.

Digital integration and automation are central to TRM’s approach, with systems offering traceability, process monitoring, and data management features. Approximately 90% of TRM’s production is exported, supported by a service network that includes installation, training, and aftersales support both at its headquarters and on-site.

As part of the AZuR network, TRM will hopefully contribute its technical expertise and industry knowledge to a growing network focused on promoting tyre retreading, recycling and sustainable mobility.

Retreading Business sees this as a very exciting step for the growth of our industry, working together, with all areas of the supply chain represented.
