After almost 40 years in the tyre industry, Ramón Lasso de la Vega is retiring after a long and successful career. Throughout his career, he worked for several well-known tyre companies, with a particular focus on tyre retreading. Over the past 17 years, he has helped shape Marangoni’s activities through his experience, commitment and passion for the industry.
The past 17 years have seen significant developments in tyre retreading. The growing importance of the circular economy has also brought lasting changes to the industry. For Ramón Lasso de la Vega, this transformation is closely linked to the development of innovative technologies and sustainable solutions.
Marangoni has long been committed to the principles of the circular economy. One outstanding example is RINGTREAD, the company’s innovative seamless precured tread ring system, used by customers worldwide. Its closed-ring design, without a splice, has played a significant role in shaping tyre retreading and setting new industry standards.
