Coltyre s.r.l.s., headquartered in Frosinone, Italy, has established itself as a dedicated player in the solid tyre retreading sector. Founded on 5 July 2017, the company was created on the back of extensive experience brought together by its sales and technical directors, both of whom had previously worked within the tyre retreading industry.
Focused Production
The business operates with a compact team of five, three of whom manage production activities in the factory, while two oversee marketing and administration. This lean structure allows Coltyre to remain agile and focused on its specialist niche. We caught up with Riccardo Coletti, Director and Production Manager, to learn more about the company’s operations.
Coltyre specialises exclusively in the retreading of solid tyres for forklifts and cranes, handling sizes ranging from 8 to 20 inches. The company does not operate outside this segment, instead choosing to concentrate its expertise on a single area of the market.
Production is carried out using the cold retreading process, employing premium materials supplied by Vipal and Marangoni. This ensures durability and performance, qualities that Coltyre regards as central to its reputation. On average, the company retreads approximately 250 tyres per month, comprising around 200 forklift tyres and 50 loader tyres.
Coltyre only works with premium casings, selecting tyres from Continental, Nexen, Solideal and Trelleborg. These brands guarantee a solid base on which to build, ensuring the high level of retreading quality required by the company.
Process and Facilities
The company collects used casings directly from selected customers before processing them at its Frosinone facility. The plant is equipped with dedicated machinery, including a buffing machine, rolling machine, autoclave and a range of auxiliary equipment. Each tyre undergoes a recovery process supported by premium materials such as Vipal pre-cured treads, Marangoni sidewall sheets and high-quality underlay compounds.

Coltyre exclusively serves industry professionals, targeting forklift dealers and loader service workshops throughout Italy. By working within this specialist market, the company maintains close relationships with customers and ensures a consistent quality of service.
