Continental has expanded its ContiTread retread portfolio with the launch of the ContiTread HDL 5 EP, a drive-axle retread developed for long-haul fleet applications.

The ContiTread HDL 5 EP features a five-rib tread pattern designed to provide consistent traction and support improved fuel efficiency. According to Continental, its optimised footprint and V-shaped groove design promote even wear, helping to extend tread life and reduce operating costs.
The company said the new product had been developed to improve durability, vehicle uptime, and efficiency in demanding long-haul operations.
The ContiTread HDL 5 EP is available in widths of 220, 230, and 240 mm, with a tread depth of 21/32 inches.
