Vipal Rubber Receive a Visit from Oceania Partners

In October Vipal was proud to receive a visit at its headquarters in Brazil from its partners in Oceania. There were four retreaders in total, three from Australia, Arctic Cool, Tyre Lug and Eco Green, and one from New Zealand, Power Retread. They toured Vipal’s three plants, two in Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul (RS), and one in Feira de Santana, Bahia (BA) and were welcomed by Vipal’s Head of International Business, Leandro Rigon, together with Adalberto Fernandez, Vipal’s Manager for MEROC (comprising Mercosul and Oceania), Tiago Campanharo, Commercial Director in Australia, and Rodrigo Refatti, Marketing Specialist.

After a tour of the Serra region, activities began at Plant I with a welcome from Jorge Rampon, Industrial Manager, Henrique Brito, Technology and Quality Manager, and Vanderlei Alban, Vipal Technical Instructor. The Technical Assistance Manager Leandro Paim introduced the guests to the new VR01 Smart Duo buffing machine. Fully designed and developed by Vipal Rubber, the new machine is capable of buffing up to 35 tyres per hour.

While still in Nova Prata, the partners had the opportunity to visit the CTV – Vicencio Paludo Technical Center, and Vipaltec, the Vipal Rubber affiliate responsible for testing new and retreaded tyres, in addition to conducting research and testing for development of new products and services in its state-of-the-art lab. The guests also went to Plant II, the Lab, and finally to the CPT – Research and Technology Center, high-tech advanced studies laboratory.

In Feira de Santana (BA), the visitors explored the modern plant which is a reference for technology and sustainability in the rubber segment around the world. They were accompanied on the visit by the Production Coordinator, Anderson Bauremann, and by Leandro Rigon. To complete their visit, the partners were invited to take a City Tour through the touristic Bahian capital, Salvador.
