Kal Tire Mexico Install New OTR Plant from TRM

Italian equipment manufacturer TRM has announced the delivery of a modern OTR plant to Kal Tire’s facility in Mexico, located in the desert of Sonora, close to the country’s biggest copper open-pit mine and one of the largest in the world.

The plant was put in operation through the active collaboration of the Mexican field team of Kal Tire and the technical team of TRM.

The machines supplied by TRM cover all the required retreading process steps with state-of-the-art technology. This includes a dedicated multipurpose working gate, which, with its flexible tooling head, allows the operator to perform the three steps required for buffing and the final grooving and a fully automatised building machine with exclusive contact calender head. A couple of autoclaves and curing presses complete the installation, giving to Kal Tire full process flexibility for tyre sizes up to 63”.
