Michelin North America has announced that Denray Tire has joined Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) as a franchisee manufacturing commercial truck retreads servicing Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Michelin Adds to Canadian Retread Business

Operating since the 1970s, Denray Tire is a family-owned business located in Western Canada. Formerly a Bandag franchisee, the company’s 25,000 square foot facility employs 13 people.

“We have an excellent 45-year relationship with Michelin, and this new chapter gives us the opportunity to deliver additional service for customers,” said Derek Braun, president of Denray Tire. “Our MRT staff are excited about this new venture. Utilising Michelin’s new tyre design technology, proven tread designs and ne tyre manufacturing standards, the MRT retread process will deliver reliable retreads designed to maximise tyre assets.”

Denray has been a strategic dealer of Michelin, BF Goodrich and Uniroyal products for 45 years and is also a member of the Michelin Commercial Service Network (MCSN). The Winnipeg-based company operates out of nine locations in Canada including the retread facility in Brandon, Manitoba.
