RIGDON and TRM Sign Technology Partnership

RIGDON and TRM

RIGDON GmbH, headquartered in Günzburg/Bavaria, one of the largest independent tyre retreaders in Central Europe, and Italy-based tyre retread equipment manufacturer TRM have announced they have signed a technological partnership agreement to redefine the retreading process.

TRM Join Forces with Major European Retreader

This collaboration is part of the future plan of RIGDON, which aims to improve the quality and efficiency of the retreading process in order to better serve the competitive market and customers quality requirements.

The project is based on the extensive use of TRMs own technologies like Twin and Stripwinding in connection with robotic technology that allows high-quality rate and mix flexibility with reduced labour requirements.

Following the principles of the industry 4.0, all the machines will be networked with each other in order to allow process data exchange. The machines will be able to configure themselves in an automatic way minimising operator intervention.

As a result of this, the plant will have full control and transparency for the whole process, the full traceability of products throughout, allowing better quality and a shorter delivery time to the market.
