KRAIBURG Issues Winter Recommendations

KRAIBURG Austria has issued its latest winter recommendations for retreaders and end-users including a list of suitable patterns for the winter months as well as a selection of tips and practical advice.

New Winter Tread Advice

“Our selection gives recommendations for the retreaders and their customers,” Christoph Priewasser, Product Manager at KRAIBURG Austria explains. “The correct use is crucial to optimum operation.” When winter tyres are used incorrectly and mainly on snow-free roads, for example, the mileage could be reduced or the pattern subjected to excessive wear or irregular abrasion. The correct air pressure in connection with the additional vehicle load capacities and maximum permissible weights is also elementary for all winter treads.”

In addition to general hints for use, the winter recommendation 19/20 gives a clear and concise list of suitable patterns for winter. The total 88 variations are divided into M and S variants, long-distance, distribution and inner-city traffic as well as axle positions. And, of course, the product series K_base, K_tech or K_plus. “The K718 in combination with the K818, for example, is a very good choice for long-distance traffic,” Priewasser adds.

“The all-season tyre and long-distance professional K718 grips well even in the wet, on snow and on steep hills and features maximum mileage, low fuel consumption and optimum traction. And the trailer design K818 convinces, thanks to its special shoulder geometry, with high stability, extremely good adhesion and excellent resilience.” The complete list is now available for downloading under www.kraiburg-austria.com.
