Linglong Launch Project for New Tyre & Retread Plant

Linglong Tire held a project launch ceremony for its fifth Chinese manufacturing base in Changchun, Jilin Province, China.

New Plant to be Located in Changchun

The event, held on 15th April, was attended by dignitaries from Changchun, Jilin, China FAW Group Corporation, China Rubber Industry Association, and Linglong’s partners as well as media.

The new plant is to be built in Changchun’s automotive economic zone with a total investment of $700 million (4.89 billion yuan) and an annual capacity of 12 million passenger, 2 million truck/bus tyres and 200,000 truck/bus retreads after it reaches full completion.

The new plant form part of Linglong’s new “6+6” plan to build six plants and six more internationally

Currently, the company has four Chinese manufacturing bases in Zhaoyuan, Dezhou, Liuzhou, Jingmen, and two additional plants under construction in Thailand and Serbia respectively.

Sales revenue at the Changchun facility is expected to reach $634 million (4.44 billion yuan) annually once the plant is in full operation.
