Vipal Celebrates Tanzanian Partnership

Vipal and NAS Tyre

Managers and salesmen from NAS Tyre Services, the largest retreader in Tanzania, recently enjoyed a dinner offered by Vipal in the city of Dar es Salaam in recognition of ten years of partnership between the two companies.

NAS Tyre with Vipal for 10 Years

Dijan Rigo, Vipal’s Commercial Coordinator, celebrated with Manoj Thakkar and Asharti Dev, NTS General Manager and Regional Sales Manager, respectively, as well as 16 other members of the customer’s technical and commercial teams, in Dar es Salaam.

The first container with Vipal Rubber products was shipped to Tanzania in the second half of 2009. It was also the first time that tyres retreaded with treads from the Brazilian brand had landed in that market. Since then, NAS Tyre Services has become one of Vipal’s largest customer on the African continent, with facilities in the cities of Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Mwanza.

For Manoj Thakkar, the business association with Vipal has been a constantly advantageous and satisfying experience. “Becoming a leading tyre retreading company in Tanzania has only been possible due to the continuous support provided by Vipal, which, in addition to supplying us with high-quality products, benefited us with continuous technical expertise and backup support,” he commented. “We see our association with Vipal growing increasingly stronger, ensuring a mutually beneficial business partnership for many years to come.”

With a 25-year history, in addition to working in the retreading segment, NTS also sells new products, such as batteries and tyres. The location of the retreader’s base of operations is strategically privileged, as it is not only the most important city in Tanzania, but its port is one of the busiest in the region, resulting in large business volume in the logistics sector, with several fleets operating in national and international transport.
