ABR, the Brazilian Tyre Retreaders Association, fulfilled an important goal in Brasília recently.

ABR Argues Environmental Benefits of Retreading

On July 22, Association president Margareth Buzetti, together with Association directors, Alexandre Moreira and Alexandre Levi, and in the presence of Senator Carlos Fávaro, met with the Minister of the Environment, Ricardo Salles, to whom the environmental benefits of tyre retreading were presented.

Continuing the agenda, the board and the senator also went to the Ministry of Infrastructure, where they were received by executive secretary, Marcelo Sampaio. On the agenda was the discussion of Contran's resolution 158, with regard to the retreading of motorcycle tyres.

“It was a very important day for the tyre retreading segment, and we found great receptivity to the issues mentioned. I thank everyone for their trust and responsiveness,” concluded Margareth Buzetti.
