The latest digital version of Retreading Business is now available for viewing and download, and, as usual, there are plenty of retreading stories from around the world to read and digest.

In this issue we reveal the nominating process for the Recircle Awards, our new awards concept for the tyre retreading and recycling industry. Also featured are two of the interviews we carried out for The Retreadcast, these being with Leandro Rigon, Vipal's International Business Director, and Doug Conley, CEO of Shamrock Marketing.

Also in this issue is a feature by our new US correspondent Ron Elliott on how American retreaders are facing up to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ron's article "Unsung Tireless Frontline Heroes", features interviews with the management at Wilks Treading Inc. and Sumerel Tire.

Meanwhile, Valentine Iwenwanne interviews the Zambian OTR retreader Superdoll, and there are the usual updates on India and Russia from our correspondents in those markets.

About the author

David is the Owner and Publisher of Retreading Business. With over 30 years' experience as a specialist tyre industry journalist, he first entered the tyre industry in 1987 as Editor of Tyres & Accessories. He was Editor of Tyre Trade News between 1993-96 before establishing Retreading Business in 1997. In 2004 he acquired the Malaysian tyre magazine The Tyreman, before establishing Tyre & Rubber Recycling in 2009. In addition to his publishing ventures, he was also Director of the Retread Manufacturers' Association between 2004 and 2014.
