This issue features a sixteen page supplement for the Recircle Awards, outlining the nominees for all eighteen categories that are open to the public vote as well as detailed instructions as to how you can cast your vote.

Also featured are transcripts of our recent Retreadcast interviews with Karun Sanghi from the Indian Retreaders Association and Walter van Loon from Tech Europe.

As usual we feature a number of stories about retreaders from around the world including a special feature from Satnam Singh on Elgi franchisees in India, as well as profiles on the Portuguese retreader Sao Mamede and the South African retreader Thomas Tyres.

Also included are two key stories on fast growing tread rubber suppliers from South America, Silvercap and Megabanda.

About the author

David is the Owner and Publisher of Retreading Business. With over 30 years' experience as a specialist tyre industry journalist, he first entered the tyre industry in 1987 as Editor of Tyres & Accessories. He was Editor of Tyre Trade News between 1993-96 before establishing Retreading Business in 1997. In 2004 he acquired the Malaysian tyre magazine The Tyreman, before establishing Tyre & Rubber Recycling in 2009. In addition to his publishing ventures, he was also Director of the Retread Manufacturers' Association between 2004 and 2014.
