Kayel Tyres Gains E-Mark Status for Retread Range

Malaysian retreader Kayel Tyre Retread Sdn Bhd, based in Kota Kemuning near Kuala Lumpur, has announced that it has become the first retreader in South-East Asia to achieve E-Mark status for its range of retreaded tyres, meaning the company’s products are now road-legal across Europe and available for export.

According to Marketing Manager Michael Hutt, the company, which is capable of handling 1,000 retreads per day, has developed to become South-East Asia’s leading retreader and is currently investing MYR 3million to upgrade its facilities to achieve a fully autonomous production system.

Kayel Tyre Retread has also just been announced as the winner of the inaugural Recircle Awards in the “Spirit of Retreading” Sector.
