Peruvian precured tread and retreading materials manufacturer Megabanda is now looking to expand its sales overseas.

Peruvian Tread Maker Looks to Overseas Markets

With over 20 years of experience in the sector, Megabanda is one of the largest rubber materials factories in Peru, currently with a regular production of 200 tons per month. The company currently exports 20% of its production of retreading materials to countries in the region, mainly Ecuador, and has also recently invested in a strip production line (CONVEYOR BELT LINE), for the industrial and mining sectors, where the factory is already ready to produce strips and laminated textile floors.

Megabanda currently has a team of more than 80 workers and has been growing regularly every year. Production has not been affected by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, says the company.

Megabanda is part of a larger, family-owned group, which includes the retreader Reencauchadora Relino. With more than 45 years of activity in the retreading sector, Relino operates four plants in different cities of Peru, three for passenger and truck tyres and a recently opened plant for OTR tyres, located in the cities of Arequipa, Chiclayo and Lima. The group retreads around 4,500 tyres per month.
