Pneu Laurent to Invest in Avallon Plant

Avallon

It has been reported that Pneu Laurent, the Michelin owned retreader based in Avallon France, is to invest 4 million Euros during 2022 with a view to modernising the plant and replacing certain machines.

Investments in Automation and New Builder

According to Company Director Stéphane Ernoult, business has improved during the pandemic to levels not seen since 2015. The level of investment confirmed is seen as a confirmation of confidence not only in the company, but in the role of retreading as a “strategic axis of development” within the Michelin Group.

Investments planned for 2022 are reported to include two automatic washing and drying cabins, which will be fed by a robot on rails and a new tread builder. Plant improvement scheduled for the year include roof repairs and the replacement of lighting.
