Vulcan Vulcap Obtains IEC International Electrical Certification

Vulcan Vulcap

Vulcan Vulcap have announced that as of August 25th, 2022, they have obtained the highly coveted IECEE Certification (International Electrical Certification). This certification guarantees that all Vulcan Vulcap products meet the industry’s highest and most scrutinous safety standards.

New Certification for Vulcan Vulcap

The IECEE is the IEC System of Conformity Assessment Scheme for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components, which is managed under the auspices of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The scheme is otherwise known as the CB System. Historically the certification process goes back to 1929 based on an initiative by the German VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik). CEE also devised and published standards for electrical equipment, most of which have been superseded by IEC standards.

‘’Getting the IEC certification was the toughest part for us,” commented David Dandenault.. We’re now working on obtaining our UL (USA) and CSA (Canada) certifications which should be much easier given how all of the legwork was done through our IEC qualification. The IEC certification opens up the entire European market to Vulcan Vulcap and this is a very exciting opportunity for us.’’
