Tipler Aims to Reach 100 Outlets in 2012
With over 30 years in the Tyre retreading field, Tipler will expand its service network in the country through the CTS (Tipler Service Centres). The strategy is to develop accredited establishments such as tyre centres and service centers for trucks and buses to become authorized collection points of casings, which will be retreaded at the company's dealers. With this, Tipler intends to get even closer to its customers and feed into the quality and expertise of its services, implementing 100 new units next year.
Currently, Tipler has 75 dealers in Brazil and the Mercosur zone. The CTS will be installed in establishments in the South, Southeast, Midwest and Northeast, which will see the development of a standardised branding. The strategy also includes the installation of the current CTS dealers who provide services for heavy vehicles.
"With this initiative, all parties win," anticipates Tipler's chief executive, Sergio Bica Jr. "The customer wins, he will have easier access to the high performance of our products. So too will establishments that become our partners; the dealers, will expand
their operations, and Tipler, will gain greater market presence." Establishments approved by Tipler will also receive training and will operate with the standards developed by the company, through practices such as Tipler System for Tyre Inspection, for example. There will also be technical visits for periodic inspection and continuous professional qualification development.
"The concept of the CTS is broad and covers from tyre services to truck centres and dealers of trucks and implements with a constant movement of vehicles for maintenance, which should increase the monthly volume of casings to be retreaded in our network," said Bica Jr.
The branding of Tipler Services Center was designed to be incremental, ie a small service center - tyre repair for example - can progresses to larger service centres, covering dealers and also offering services for heavy vehicles with retreading. Within this concept, we created two categories of Tipler Service Center, "Partner" and "Dealer with CTS." Each with a specific visual identity.
     Marangoni at Fentaran 2011
In a no holds barred appearance at Fentaran, the Brazilian commercial vehicle and logistics exhibition, Marangoni Tread Latin America used its experience and global connections to highlight its differential and its prominent market share. In addition, through an interactive stand the company gave everyone the opportunity to learn more about its Ring Tread system, giving a demonstration with the ring machine and letting clients and visitors understand more about the retreading process.
Transport sustainability and innovation were the two great pillars of the event this year for Marangoni: encouraging its Authorised Retreaders to gain INMETRO Certification, and in winning the Green Seal for innovation, putting new products
on the market, and increasingly differentiating their modern technology, which is designed to have minimal environmental impact Marangoni used the event to present its product line extensions with the RDD which has been expanded into three new sizes: 190XS, 240M and 265M. Another novelty was the ring-HM RZE with a versatile design, suitable for short, medium or long distance.
"Our participation in Fentaran was extremely interesting for the business. The technical quality of visitors exceeded expectations and this is the standard that a trade show of this size should maintain and follow. We believe that is an excellent showcase for customers and future customers, "said Gian Piero Zadra, superintendent of Marangoni Tread Latin America.
Moreflex Starts 2012 with Training
 Thomé Tires INMETRO Registered
In January 2012 Moreflex’s regional manager Sidney Silva launched a training programme for its approved clients in the North East of Brazil. The programme focussed on retreading and recycling tyres with reference to the methods and products of Moreflex. The sessions also looked at corporate performance and the strategies of performance in the transport market and how the latest Moreflex products could
enhance capabilities in this sector. The training was carried out at the headquarters of the participating companies and included candidates from the commercial, production and administration levels of the client companies, as well as the Manager of each Unit. The success of these training sessions may ensure that there will be additional training programmes offered by Moreflex in the future.
For the second time, a Vipal retread partner in Rio Grande del Sol has received certification from INMETRO for its retreaded truck tyres. The Thomé Tires, of Tres de Maio, also is only the second in the State and first of the Region of the Northwest Border to gain certification.
This initiative gives Thomé Tires a lead in the market, at a time when all retreaders only have until November 2012 to conform to INMETRO stardards in accordance with schedule n o 444 ofthe monitoring body. According to the marketing manager of Vipal, Eduardo Sacco, the company is taking the lead and pioneering the development of retreading. “The Vipal authorised retreaders are being the first to register”.
This certifies the performance of the retreaders and by meeting the
requirements of INMETRO brings a series benefits to the retreaded tyre sector and to the transport industry. Truck drivers and fleet operators can start to count on a higher standard of tyres that have been retreaded by a process and using products that guarantee a longer tyre life with better performance and safety.
Vipal , through its authorised network ensures the support to its retread partners to ensure that they can meet the requirements of INMETRO. During this process of qualification, INMETRO determines the testing of samples of tyres, these are sent to specialized laboratories, one of them part of the Vipal Group: the Vipaltec. This laboratory of high technology has been trusted and used by INMETRO since 2007, and makes itself available for all areas of tyre testing.
