Nova Mutum Retreaders get a Surprise Visitor

received a surprise
when a tapir,
moved into land
adjacent to the
workshop. The
Tapir, a large pig
like animal with a
prehensile snout, is
native to the
Brazilian forests.
The local fire
department were called to deal with the tapir, which was taken into custody and transferred to a veterinary surgeon who assessed the animal as being fit and well.
The animal was apparently very docile and used to humans, but nonetheless was returned to the wild for its own protection.
Bridgestone Sponsors F-Truck In Brazil
Bridgestone, one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world and one of the major sponsors of Formula Truck In Brazil, hosted two promotional activities for the 4th round of the F- Truck competition, which was held at the international track at Goiânia. The Bridgestone Truck Stop and “Shop and Win” promotions offered prizes to Bridgestone customers.
The Bridgestone Truck Stop was an initiative aimed at drivers and took place from May 31 until June 2. The event, carried out in partnership with retailers Tarumã and Pneulândia, offered the drivers a free check-up of their trucks, identifying possible
mechanical defects and the need for adjustments to the tyres, amongst other fixes. The driver also received instructions on how to avoid premature loss of the tyres.
In addition to information concerning the safety and well-being on the road, Bridgestone Truck Stop provided entertainment and savings for drivers who participated in a raffle and had the chance to win a VIP pass for the Bridgestone Bandag hospitality suite at the Formula Truck Goiania, or a retread tyre, and to enjoy leisure time with his family.
