    Galgo: Aims to Provide a Secure Future by Meeting Customer Needs
 Dunlop Appoints General Sales Manager for EMEA Region
Birmingham-based Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has expanded its team with the appointment of Patrice Moreau as general sales manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to sales and marketing director David Skepper, Moreau joins with more than 19 years’ experience in commercial and business aviation.
Moreau started at Bombardier Aerospace where he successfully concluded
the sales of the
company’s first Dash 8 Q400 and CRJ700 regional aircraft while the programmes were still in their design phases.
He also spent nine years supporting Bombardier’s business aviation division, working with civilian and military operators as well as MROs around the world. More recently, he was commercial manager, continental Europe, for Barnes Aerospace in Derby, UK.
“Patrice will be responsible for supporting a team of technical sales managers who are at the coalface
winning new business and ensuring that we continue to satisfy existing customers,” said David Skepper. “We are confident that his leadership skills and vast aerospace industry sales experience will enable the company to build on its recent success in the both the commercial and military sectors.”
   With the latest generation of control and management systems added to the storage and distribution operations, GALGO recently open a brand new distribution centre for retreading products and rubber materials at Tula Hidalgo, México, which will help to improve response times for its customers’ needs.
The building has several long aisles of 8 levels of racks and is operated by two fork lifts with a three-directional head movement, with which one can reach up to 20 metres in height, with a semi-automatic operation through
highly trained personnel. All operations are managed through the general manager’s computer system, allowing the operators to quickly locate the ideal product for each particular PO’s client.
This will be operated by SAP Warehouse Management Systems, one of the best for stock administration.
This operation was necessary because of the wide acceptance for all of the PRE-Q Galgo rubber treads worldwide, across more than 65 countries on 5 continents.
     AMW Welcomes Three New Directors
Sri-Lanka’s Associated Motorways (Private) Limited, popularly known as AMW, possibly the leading automotive company in Sri Lanka with over 65 years of service experience, has recently added three new directors to its team.
AMW's core business sectors today are automotive sales, after-sales services, tyre retreading, lubricants, batteries & tyres and financial services (leasing, hire purchase). Some of the top international automotive brands represented by AMW include Nissan, Suzuki Maruti, Yamaha, Piaggio and Case New Holland.
In July 2008, Associated Motorways (Private) Ltd came under the global management expertise of the Al- Futtaim Group of UAE, aligning itself with the Group Automotive Division's development and global strategy. Brandon Morris assumed duties as Director / CEO of AMW Capital Leasing & Finance PLC, with effect from 1st February 2014.
Morris counts over 25 invaluable years of managerial experience of which 16 have been in the non-banking financial sector (NBFI).
Prior to this, he has held key positions at LOLC (Asst.General Manager), Ceylease Financial Services Ltd (Chief Operating Officer) and TVS Automotives (Pvt) Ltd (CEO). Meanwhile Naalaka Madugalle, who joined Associated Motorways (Private) Limited in October 2013, took over as Director - Commercial Sales, After Sales & Parts Divisions with effect
from February. He has 23 years of experience in a diverse range of work environments.
Prior to this Madugalle was Chief Executive Officer at LAUGFS Lubricants Limited.
The Commercial Sales division is the trading division of AMW dealing with an extensive brand range such as BP/Castrol lubricants, Goodyear, Evergreen tyres, and EPIC Power truck tyres, EPIC Maxx automotive batteries and the SONAX car care range. The After Sales and Parts Divisions are key focus areas identified by AMW and Madugalle’s extensive experience in this area will be invaluable.
Having joined AMW in 2013 as Director Human Resources, Kushan Wijewickrama also took up the role of Shared Services with effect from December 2013.
Wijewickrama brings with him a wealth of experience in the human resources field from many industries as well as overseas (India, Bangladesh and Malaysia).
Having begun as a management trainee in human resources management at FDK Lanka (Private) Limited, Wijewickrama held managerial positions at UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) as Human Resources Development Officer – Sri Lanka & Maldives, Fonterra Brands Lanka (Private) Limited, Finlay’s Tea Estates Sri Lanka, and Ericsson CU Malaysia and Sri Lanka (Based in Malaysia).
New Commercial Director for
Bridgestone Commercial
Solutions
Bridgestone Commercial Solutions has promoted John Boynton, vice president, sales, to president.
Boynton will be responsible for the daily operation, profitability and long- term strategic direction of the company’s North American truck and bus tyre sales and Bandag retreading business, Bridgestone said.
“I have had the opportunity to work with John for a number of years, and his professionalism and sound leadership have been instrumental in helping us meet the challenges of today’s dynamic truck and bus tyre and retread marketplace,” Kurt Danielson president of Bridgestone’s U.S. and Canada Commercial Tyre Sales said. “I know he is the right choice to lead the BCS organization to the next level.”
Boynton joined Bridgestone in 1998 as a fleet sales representative and was promoted to district sales manager that same year. Mr. Boynton has held a variety of jobs with Bridgestone,
including: division manager; region general manager; zone director; and most recently vice president, sales, BCS.
Boynton earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Creighton University.
