   Marangoni to Widen the
Ringtread XP Range in the
US Market
Marangoni continues to make inroads in the US retreading market with its range of solutions for independent retreaders. The company, now well established in North America, is projecting itself as one stop shop for independent retreaders.

The Ringtread XP is the result of a combination of Ringtread technology and Marangoni engineering. Indian tread rubber and tyre manufacturer Tolins has been supplying to the US market for almost a decade. The company operates in the US market through an agent based in California. “We have been consistently supplying a few containers into the US every month. It is huge market and there is scope for everyone to grow here,” said K V Tolin, Managing Director, Tolins Tyres Pvt Ltd at the North American Tire & Retread Expo.
In addition, the company is looking for dealer partners in Mexico and Brazil. “All the three of these markets are important
and we are looking for companies who are willing to work us,” he said. The Indian firm will be participating at the forthcoming Panama show. “We hope to zero in on dealer partners in Brazil and Mexico before the Panama show,” Tolin stated.
“We have a competitive product range and we are looking forward to working with large retreaders in the US market who could also cater to the tread rubber requirements of smaller retreaders,” added Phil Saunders, Tolins representative in the US market.
       Midas Keen on Expanding in the US market
Indian tread and envelope maker Midas is keen to develop the US market for its product. “We have most of the designs required for the US market,” said Paulose Varughese, Director, Midas Tread at the North American Tire &
Tread Expo. The company already has experience in the US, having supplied around 20 containers to the US market a few years ago through a dealer based in Texas.
