Liew Koon Expands Presence in Asia Markets with Akar Makina and Dobermann

The company’s most recent success was their recent appointment by Turkish tyre retreading equipment manufacturer Akar Makina as the exclusive distributor of Akarmak retreading machiner y for truck and Off-the-Road (OTR) tyres for Asian countries.
Managing Director Louis Liew said the company had been in correspondence with Akar Makina for quite some time before they finally met and inked the partnership during the recent Tyrexpo Asia 2015 exhibition in Singapore.
“We are really thrilled to have a partner like Akar Makina, which can help us to raise the bar of the Malaysian truck and OTR tyre retreading industry,” said Liew. “With Akarmak’s advanced and highly efficient truck and OTR retreading machinery, retreaders are able to have better control of their retreading process and quality as well as achieve considerable savings in their operating costs, manpower and time.”
According to Liew, the partnership with Akar Makina makes sound strategic sense for both companies. The Liew Koon Group of Companies

We have a team of well trained personnel in Malaysia to provide after-sales support, including training. This team will also support our clients in other countries. For the long term, we are looking to set up service stations in countries that have the volume to better support our customers.”
