The Asociación Española de Neumáticos Reciclados (AER) has announced the incorporation of Marangoni S.p.A. as a new member. This move is intended to strengthen the representation and influence of the tyre retreading and recycling sector in Spain.
An Inclusion Reinforcing the Association’s Collective Project
The inclusion of Marangoni S.p.A. occurs at a significant time for the sector, which is currently characterised by an evolving regulatory framework, the increasing importance of sustainability and circular economy policies, and the requirement to highlight the strategic role of retreaded tyres within an efficient, competitive, and resource-responsible industrial model.
With this new membership, AER continues to advance its work to consolidate a common space for sector representation, institutional dialogue, and the development of joint initiatives. These efforts are designed to defend industry interests, promote new opportunities, and reinforce the positioning of tyre retreading and recycling within industrial, environmental, and economic agendas.
The AER has welcomed the entry of Marangoni S.p.A., noting that its incorporation represents more than just the addition of a new member. The association views the move as bringing experience, knowledge, and commitment to a collective project working towards the strengthening of the sector.
In recent months, AER has maintained an intense level of institutional, technical, and associative activity. This has included a presence in business forums, meetings with government administrations, participation in working groups, and the preparation of proposals in key areas such as the circular economy, green public procurement, sustainable mobility, sector regulations, and industrial transition. In this context, the addition of new entities is considered relevant to amplifying the sector’s voice and reinforcing its capacity for influence and projection.
The entry of Marangoni S.p.A. is part of a strategy to build an association that is increasingly representative, useful, and active, capable of uniting companies and entities committed to the current and future state of tyre retreading and recycling.
AER notes that tyre retreading constitutes a clear and tangible example of the circular economy applied within the industrial sphere. By extending the product’s useful life, utilising the casing’s value, reducing raw material consumption, and avoiding premature waste generation, retreading directly contributes to more efficient resource use and reduced environmental impact associated with the manufacture of new products.
As the European Union and various national and regional administrations reinforce policies regarding decarbonisation, strategic autonomy, material reuse, and green public procurement, the tyre retreading and recycling sector is expected to play an increasingly important role. Consequently, the association emphasises the need to build alliances, reinforce sector unity, and communicate the industrial, environmental, and economic value of this activity to institutions and the market.
The incorporation of Marangoni S.p.A. also reflects a dynamic of growth and strengthening of the membership base that AER has been promoting in its current stage of development. The association works to integrate various actors in the sector, foster collaboration between companies and related entities, and create a functional working environment for sharing concerns, identifying opportunities, and building common positions on market and regulatory challenges.
In this regard, AER considers that the association’s growth should be understood not only in quantitative terms but also as a means of consolidating a project that is more cohesive, more visible, and better able to generate real value for its members. The addition of new associates reinforces sector representation, enriches internal debate, promotes new lines of work, and strengthens the association’s role as an interlocutor with public administrations, business organisations, and other key entities within the institutional and sectoral environment.
With this incorporation, AER enters a new stage of collaboration with Marangoni S.p.A., defined by the shared objective of continuing to strengthen the sector and improving its positioning within institutional, business, and social spheres.
The association will continue to work to promote new alliances, present concrete proposals to administrations, reinforce dialogue with reference bodies and entities, and generate value for its associates through information, representation, and joint action.
The arrival of Marangoni S.p.A. at AER is seen as further evidence of the association’s dynamism and the importance of continuing to build robust sectoral structures that ensure the adequate protection and promotion of the contribution of tyre retreading and recycling to the circular economy and industrial competitiveness.
Adrián Fernández, Secretary General of the Asociación Española de Neumáticos Reciclados, has commented on the inclusion: “We are very satisfied to announce the incorporation of Marangoni S.p.A. into AER. Its entry into the association is positive news and contributes to the continued reinforcement of a common project that seeks to provide more visibility, more voice, and more strength to the tyre retreading and recycling sector. At a key moment for the industry, sustainability, and the circular economy, the addition of committed companies is fundamental to facing the challenges and opportunities ahead together.”
