The Asociación Española de Neumáticos Reciclados (AER) has announced the incorporation of Recacor as a full member of the organisation. This move is part of an institutional and business-strengthening process that the AER is promoting for 2026. The association aims to consolidate sectoral representation and increase the capacity for dialogue with public administrations and economic stakeholders.
Reinforcing the Circular Economy
Recacor maintains a track record focused on technical quality, product safety, sustainability, and the circular economy. Their inclusion is intended to reinforce the retreading value chain and provide greater representativeness to the Spanish sector.
In recent months, the AER has entered a new phase marked by the professionalisation of its structure, expansion of its membership base, and increased institutional presence. Key strategic areas of focus include promoting retreading within green public procurement policies and public transport fleets, direct collaboration with ministries to advocate for the role of retreaded tyres in transport decarbonisation and preparing technical reports on European and national legislation.
Furthermore, the association is establishing alliances across the recycling, automotive, technical inspection, and sustainability fields, and is conducting technical conferences and information campaigns to highlight the environmental, economic, and social benefits of retreading.
The entry of companies such as Recacor is intended to support an industrial model focused on resource efficiency, local employment, and European climate objectives. A spokesperson for the AER stated that the incorporation of Recacor indicates confidence in this collective project, noting that industry unity is essential for gaining influence and visibility.
