Recismec: A Family Story Helping Tyre Retreading Go the Extra Mile

–

In 1989, Ivando Aragão started Recismec with one clear goal: to make products for tyre retreading. More than thirty years later, it is still a family business, now run by his children. They have retained its focus on product quality and close customer relationships, building a presence across Latin America. Today, Recismec products reach customers worldwide.

Technology Built In-House

CNC machining centre

Much of this growth is supported by developments on the factory floor. Recismec invests in new technology and runs a CNC machining centre to bring precision and consistency to production. For retreaders, the aim is well-fitting parts, consistent tool performance and less downtime on the line.

Blades Made to Go Further

The company’s buffing blades, for example, have a high carbon content and undergo a proprietary heat treatment. Recismec says this produces longer-lasting blades that provide the required texture for buffing work.

Innovation That’s Also Sustainable

Eco Carbide

The same approach extends across the company’s product range. With Eco Carbides, Recismec has eliminated the additional paint, simplifying the process and reducing material use. Its rubber-coated brushes incorporate rice husk silica, using a plant-based resource.

Packaging with Less Material

Recismec has also rethought its packaging. Many items in its range now ship in kraft paper, reducing weight, volume and the amount of packaging material used. Kraft paper is also biodegradable.

Building a More Sustainable Future

For Recismec, sustainability is an ongoing part of running the business. Its approach combines manufacturing in Brazil with developing more efficient products and rethinking packaging, aiming to make customers’ work easier and reduce their environmental impact.

The company positions these developments as part of its support for a more efficient and sustainable retreading process.

From Brazil to the World

Recismec manufactures its products in Brazil and exports worldwide. Its range covers every stage of retreading, with the company highlighting its large stock and fast dispatch.
