At Autopromotec 2025, Tech Europe shared some of its ambitions from its 2024-2026 plan, specifically about increasing its presence in the Middle East and Africa.
Increasing Market Share
Tim Verheyde, General Manager EMEA at Tech Europe, spoke about the company’s ambitions to increase its market share, especially in the Middle East and Africa. In August 2024, the company opened a distribution centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now plans to stock and recycle locally from this hub.
In addition to Johannesburg, Tech intends to focus on sub-Saharan Africa, drawing distribution capabilities from this centre, which covers all 4 Tech product business lines. Tim further says that the company has “doubled in size since 2024 through investment” and sees an “enormous potential in the Middle East and Africa.”
Tech is also focusing on the conveyor belt market in the EMEA region, which they had not done before. It is also developing the Salvadori tyre recycling business, with an intended focus on equipment for manufacturing end-products, including byproducts. In Australia and South Africa, the company’s primary focus is on the production of the tyre recycling equipment and add-on business to retreading, with a goal to invest an additional $25 million in the brand, Tim shared. According to Tim, the main message of Tech is ambition for growth.
