Vaculug have been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s RM6353 Tyres, Glass and Telematics framework. Under this agreement, they are a supplier of Lot 2 – Supply, fit and management of tyres and associated products and services.
Crown Commercial Service Framework Supplier
Vaculug believes that this recognition highlights the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective tyre solutions designed to meet the needs of the UK public sector. As part of this framework, Vaculug will provide sustainable, innovative tyre management services tailored to support fleet efficiency and environmental goals across government departments and public sector organisations.
All Vaculug retread tyres are manufactured in the UK at its Grantham factory, which has been operating since 1950. Now celebrating its 75th anniversary, Vaculug introduced the ERV Electro+ – the first retread tyre specifically designed for electric Refuse Collection Vehicles (eRCVs) – which is also a part of this framework offering.
Already working directly with numerous local authorities, Vaculug has developed a deep understanding of the sector’s unique operational requirements. The RM6353 agreement is let under PCR2015, but with the evolving procurement landscape, Vaculug recognises the importance of trusted frameworks like Crown Commercial Service (CCS), which offer a compliant, pre-vetted route to engaging with capable suppliers.
Public Sector Expertise
In the public sector, Vaculug’s core expertise lies in supporting local authorities, particularly with Waste and Recycling Vehicles and RCVs ranging from 7.5 tonnes to 32 tonnes. Through its strategic brand partnerships, the company also manages broader local authority tyre needs, including cars, vans, OTR (Off-The-Road), and Plant Operations, covering equipment such as loading shovels.
Craig Rudkin, Sales Director at Vaculug, stated, “As a leading UK manufacturer, Vaculug Limited are very proud to be named as a supplier to the RM6353 framework with Crown Commercial Services, supporting the UK government and industry in sourcing British-made products.”
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. Vaculug believes that being appointed to the RM6353 framework reinforces their role as a trusted partner within the public procurement space.
