Vipal Retreads Awarded

One of the largest manufacturers of products for tyre retreading worldwide, Vipal Rubber has won the 2025 Retreaded Tyre Award with the VT570 Tread – voted the best product of the year in the tyre retreading category. Promoted by Automotive Magazine, the award ceremony was held on November 13 at the Vila Galé Palácio dos Arcos hotel, in Oeiras, Portugal, gathering professionals from the automotive segment, representatives from fleet companies, public entities and industry associations.

Developed to meet the specific needs of the EMEA market, the tread VT570 has a directional design that offers excellent traction in mixed applications (on/off-road). It is ideal for vehicles that operate both on paved streets and on irregular terrains, such as those used in civil construction transportation, garbage collection, and agricultural activities.
Representing Vipal Europe at the award ceremony, Fabrício Nedeff, Commercial Manager of Vipal for EMEA, comments that “celebrating this recognition in the year we celebrate 20 years of presence in Europe has a very special meaning – especially in Portugal, which is a strategic market for us and a reflection of the trust built along two decades. The recognition of the tread VT570 demonstrates how we remain strong in the mission of offering solutions that combine technology, performance and durability, following the evolution of fleets and the modern transportation needs.”
For Frederico Schmidt, General Manager of Vipal for EMEA, this acknowledgement also reaffirms the relevance of tyre retreading for the sustainable future of transportation. “Receiving this award reflects the consistent work Vipal has conducted throughout the world and a recognition of a trajectory based on innovation, quality and commitment to sustainability. Tyre retreading is one of the most relevant activities for the circular economy, and Vipal is continuously investing in research and development to expand the environmental and economic benefits of this practice. Being among the highlights of the segment in the EMEA region reflects the dedication from our teams and partners for promoting an increasingly efficient and responsible sector,” Schmidt comments.
With 52 years of operation, presence in more than 90 countries and a consolidated authorised network of partners, Vipal Rubber reaffirms its role as one of the leading global references in tyre retreading, contributing to a more efficient, sustainable and economically viable transportation.
