Vipal Rubber has expanded its product portfolio by launching the new VT290 tread. Developed specially for truck drive axles on highways and paved roads, the VT290 meets the demands of regional and long-distance transport operations.
VT290 Delivers Traction and Stability
“The launch of the VT290 reinforces Vipal’s ongoing commitment to offering technologically advanced solutions suited to the specific characteristics of European roads and climate.” “We want to further consolidate our presence in the region, delivering a high value-added product that combines innovation, operational efficiency and safety,” highlights Frederico Schmidt, General Manager of Vipal EMEA.
Available in the sizes 240, 250, 260, 270 and 280 mm, the VT290 accommodates a range of tyre dimensions used in commercial transportation, offering versatility for retreaders, distributors, fleet owners, and truck drivers. Developed using Vipal technology, the tread features a design focused on traction and stability, enhancing grip in different driving conditions on both dry and wet surfaces. Its performance also stands out in harsh conditions, including snow operations, reinforcing the solution’s versatility for the European market.
To ensure safety and operational compliance, the model has the M+S marking and 3PMSF certification. The tread also features side sipes and grooves that help self-clean and remove snow and mud, promoting grip on slippery surfaces. The tread design also promotes a balanced distribution of the torque transmitted by the engine, contributing to more even tread wear. The tie bars between the blocks increase tread-structure stability, providing greater control and safety while driving.
“With the VT290, we are responding directly to the real needs of fleet operators and truck drivers, combining performance, adherence and efficiency in different driving conditions. In addition to expanding options for our customers, the product strengthens business opportunities for our partners in the region,” reinforces Fabrício Nedeff, Commercial Manager of Vipal EMEA.
