Vipal Rubber described Pneushow 2026 as an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with retreaders, transport operators, distributors, and other partners across the Latin American retreading sector. According to Ivanir Canevese, Commercial Director – Internal Market, the exhibition remains the region’s leading meeting point for the industry and continues to reinforce Vipal’s position as a strategic partner for tyre retreading.

Rather than simply showcasing products, Canevese said the company used the event to demonstrate how its portfolio and technologies can help improve retreader productivity while reducing transport operators’ cost per mile. Vipal reported strong visitor numbers throughout the exhibition, with business generated during the event and new commercial opportunities identified.
Among the products introduced at the exhibition was the new Hybrid Cure range of repair patches, developed for both radial (RAC) and bias (VD) tyres. Designed for use in both hot and cold curing processes, the range aims to improve operational efficiency while reducing inventory requirements for retreaders.
The company also presented the VOC340 orbicushion, a machine designed for retreaders producing up to 1,500 tyres per month. According to Vipal, the equipment combines operational efficiency with low energy consumption and efficient use of raw materials. Features include automatic tyre width and diameter detection, integrated temperature control, automation components that enable remote technical support, and a compact footprint to maximise production space. Canevese said negotiations for ten units were concluded during the exhibition.
In the new commercial tyre segment, Vipal launched the Ruzi R MULTI 150 and R DRIVE 150 tyres, both of which received strong market interest, with the company’s exhibition stock selling out during the event. The company also displayed established products, including the DV-MM tread featuring the V® SUPER HYBRID compound and the DV-UMe tread, developed specifically for electric-vehicle applications.
Reflecting on the exhibition, Canevese said the response confirmed that the market continues to prioritise solutions that deliver greater productivity and durability, enabling retreaders to offer transport operators a lower cost per mile.
Looking more broadly at the market, Canevese believes tyre retreading is increasingly being driven by the need for higher productivity, improved operational efficiency, and lower operating costs, while maintaining quality and sustainability. He noted growing demand for technologies that extend tyre service life, simplify retreading processes, and improve competitiveness.
Another emerging trend is the increasing focus on products designed specifically for electric vehicles. Canevese said the higher torque characteristics and increased battery weight of electric vehicles are expected to accelerate tread wear, leading to more frequent retreading cycles and greater demand for specialised retreading materials.
Against this backdrop, he believes tyre retreading will continue to strengthen its position as a cost-effective and sustainable solution for extending tyre life. Canevese added that Vipal will continue investing in research, development, and innovation to meet evolving market requirements and support the growth of its authorised retread network and business partners.
