Vipal Rubber Confirms Full Compliance and Readiness for EUDR Amid Ongoing 2026 Implementation Uncertainty

Vipal Rubber

In a published letter to its customers, Vipal Rubber has affirmed its full compliance and preparedness for European Union Deforestation Regulations (EUDR) which is due to be applied for December 30th 2025 following its phasing in period.

Vipal commits to full traceability and compliance documents as new EUDR Looms

In the communication (signed by Felipe Henzel, the Commercial Director for the International Market for Vipal), the company stated that cross-department efforts had been ongoing since 2023 in order to guarantee that their processes, supply chains and documentation systems complied with EUDR. The tread rubber manufacturer also confirmed that all the procedures and controls have now been successfully implemented.

The confirmation from Vipal Rubber reads as follows:

“Since early 2023, all departments within our organization have been working diligently to align our processes, supply chains, and documentation systems with the regulation’s requirements. Today, we already have all the necessary procedures and controls implemented. We are fully prepared to comply with the EUDR requirements.”

Furthermore, Vipal underlined their readiness and commitment to support their customers, as a reliable EUDR-compliant partner through future implementation of digital systems to deliver visibility of the natural rubber used in its products, as well as confirming that each Vipal consignment entering the European Union will be supplemented by the appropriate documentation.

The appropriate section of the letter stated:

“Moreover, since your operations involve the use of our products, you will benefit from our full support to help ensure that your own activities are aligned with EUDR compliance requirements as well. Each batch of Vipal Rubber products entering the European Union will be accompanied by the mandatory compliance documents, ensuring that the products are eligible for commercialisation. In addition, we will implement digital systems to guarantee visibility over the origin of natural rubber, with accessible and auditable reports.”

Vipal’s announcement comes at a pivotal time for EUDR, as speculation continues to mount that its implementation could be delayed yet further as businesses await further clarity from the Commission following the publication of its FAQ and draft delegated act in April 2025. Both of these documents were intended to bring technical clarifications and codified clarity for businesses operating in the scope of EUDR, but uncertainty remains as we move closer towards the 2025 and 2026 deadlines.
