Vipal Rubber receives the Transport and Logistics Preference Award of Rio Grande do Sul

Vipal Rubber won the company award in the category “Rubber brand for retreading” in the award promoted by SETCERGS and delivered during the ceremony celebrating the entity’s 66th anniversary in Brazil

Vipal was one of the winners of the Transport and Logistics Preference Award of Rio Grande do Sul, promoted by the Union of Cargo Transport and Logistics Companies of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (SETCERGS). The company was the big highlight in the category “Rubber brand for retreading,” in a direct vote open to members and the public. The distinction aims to recognise companies, brands, and institutions that are protagonists in the road cargo transport sector in the state. The award was delivered in Porto Alegre, Brazil, during a ceremony held in celebration of SETCERGS’ 66th anniversary.

“The SETCERGS award is a reference in the sector. It comes to corroborate our path of excellence and demonstrate that Vipal continues to learn from the road. We are very satisfied with this achievement of high relevance for the cargo transport segment of Rio Grande do Sul,” said Ivanir Canevese, Vipal’s Commercial Director – Domestic Market, upon receiving the award. Held since 1994, Vipal had already won the SETCERGS award in eight other editions.

The ceremony, held at the headquarters of SETCERGS, brought together leaders, businesspeople, and representatives of the road cargo transport sector. On the occasion, the Gaúcho Transport Merit Trophy, the SETCERGS Journalism Award, and tributes to companies with a long history of membership in the entity were also presented.

Vipal is among the major global manufacturers of rubber, with physical facilities exceeding 220,000 m², an installed capacity of more than 20,000 tons per month, and over 3,000 employees. Founded in 1973 in the city of Nova Prata (RS), Brazil, it operates in the development of solutions for tire retreading and repair, the manufacture of truck tires, the manufacture of motorcycle tires and inner tubes, in addition to supplying products, machines, and equipment for the industrial sector. With seven industrial units (five in Brazil, one in Argentina, and another in the United States), 10 administrative units, and 14 distribution centres strategically located in South and North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, it serves customers in more than 90 countries in a broad and diversified way.
