The first edition of the Global OTR Conference, dedicated exclusively to professionals from the Off-The-Road (OTR) tyre segment, was held in early October in Antwerp, Belgium, and had participation from Vipal Rubber.
OTR Retreading in Spotlight
The event brought together the main players in the tyre and vehicle industry, as well as distributors, service providers, and fleet owners. It also had a panel on OTR tyre retreading, with participation from Fabrício Nedeff, the company’s Commercial Manager for the EMEA market.
With its own space, Vipal highlighted its broad portfolio and global expertise in OTR tyre retreading and the production of rubber compounds. The participation emphasises the company’s commitment to offering solutions that deliver high performance, sustainability, and cost savings to the EMEA market, further strengthening its relationships with customers and partners in the region.
On the final day of the event, Nedeff participated in the panel “OTR Tyre Retreading – A Discussion Panel,” moderated by David Wilson, Publisher of the Retreading Business magazine and supported by Vipal. The panel addressed a topic that has been the subject of major debate in the sector: retreading as an essential part of the OTR tyre lifecycle. Guest experts debated the importance of including this step in tyre management strategies, helping the audience understand when, why, and how to retread tyres of this type. During the discussion, Nedeff highlighted the strategic role of retreading in extending OTR tyre useful life, noting its contribution to reducing operating costs and to the sustainability of the sector.“
Participating in this pioneer event is something Vipal is proud of. We have continuously invested in technology and innovation to meet the demands of the European market and offer solutions that combine performance and environmental responsibility. Our presence here reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to the OTR segment, and with our partners around the world,” Nedeff highlighted.
With 52 years of trajectory, Vipal continues to consolidate its international presence, with industrial units, distribution centres, and a global network of partners and retreaders. This year, the company is celebrating 20 years of operation in Europe, reinforcing its position among the largest companies in the segment in the region, standing out for excellence in products, technical service, and inventories in strategic locations. The company is currently present in more than 50 countries in the region and has three distribution centres – in Spain, Slovenia and England –, as well as an office in Valencia.
