Continental has expanded its ContiTread portfolio by launching the ContiTread HDR 3 HT, a retread designed for regional fleet applications.
New Non-Directional Tread
The ContiTread HDR 3 HT features a non-directional tread pattern intended to simplify tyre rotation and reduce inventory complexity. According to Continental, the design supports fleet maintenance practices and helps improve vehicle uptime.
The retread is designed for all-season use, with the company citing traction in icy and snowy conditions, as well as handling performance in wet and dry environments.
The ContiTread HDR 3 HT also incorporates a high-mileage tread compound designed to support extended wear across highway and local routes. The compound is intended to improve resistance to cuts and chips, helping to protect against road hazards and extend service life.
The ContiTread HDR 3 HT replaces the ContiTread HDW2 tread in all sizes except the 265.
Available sizes are 210, 220, 230, and 240, with a tread depth of 27/32 inches. The product also features a non-directional tread for ease of rotation and inventory management, along with enhanced cut and chip resistance.
Continental said the ContiTread HDR 3 HT has been developed to help fleets improve efficiency, durability, and year-round performance in regional service applications.
