Marangoni Price Increase Begins in March

Marangoni Rovereto

The Retreading Systems division of Marangoni has announced that it will upwardly adjust the sales price for rubber materials used to retread tyres in all countries of the European Area on March 1st, 2021. The magnitude of the increase will be at a level of 0,20 €/kg.

Marangoni Prices to Rise

According to Marangoni, this increase reflects that of the raw materials used by this sector, whose rapid evolution has been caused by increased demand at a global level as well as a reduction in available quantities.

The price increase of raw materials has already forced various manufacturers of new tyres and/or materials for retreading to declare price increases or programme them for the coming weeks. Marangoni says it believes that these increases will not have a negative effect on the competitiveness of the retreading industry. On the contrary, since retreads use less raw materials compared to new tyres, the company believes will benefit from this trend.
