Leo Linkesch Retires After More Than Three Decades of Dedication

–

After more than 30 years in the tyre retreading industry and almost three decades with MARANGONI, Leo Linkesch retired at the end of June 2026. With his departure, the company bids farewell to a respected industry professional who has played a key role in expanding the retreading business across Central and Eastern Europe.

A Retreading Legacy to Celebrate

Linkesch’s association with MARANGONI began in 1993 with his first visit to the company’s headquarters in Verona—then as a customer. Five years later, he joined MARANGONI as Area Manager for the tread rubber business, taking responsibility for developing and supporting numerous markets throughout Eastern Europe. Over the following years, he was involved in a number of landmark projects, including the launch of Fulda Bulgaria Retreading (1999), the establishment of Ring/Yashina in Ukraine (2000), the opening of Cefin’s retreading plant in Romania (2005), and the inauguration of Good North in Russia (2019). Since 2015, he has also served as Area Manager of MARANGONI RSD, overseeing the company’s business activities in the Eastern Europe market.

Throughout his career, Linkesch always placed great importance on maintaining close personal relationships with customers and business partners. Through numerous international trade events, training programmes and factory visits, he became a highly respected point of contact and an outstanding ambassador for the tyre retreading industry. His commitment, technical expertise and ability to build long-term partnerships made a significant contribution to MARANGONI’s success throughout the region.

In 2021, his achievements were recognised internationally when he received the “Employee of the Year” award at the Recircle Awards, in recognition of his outstanding commitment and lasting contribution to the tyre retreading industry.

As he retires, Linkesch extends his sincere thanks to customers, colleagues and long-standing business partners for their trust, support and the many shared successes over the years. At the same time, he is confident that his colleagues will continue to strengthen and further develop the successful partnerships he has helped establish.

With Linkesch’s retirement, an extraordinary professional journey comes to an end—one marked by dedication, expertise, international collaboration and an unwavering commitment to the tyre retreading industry. On behalf of the entire MARANGONI team, his colleagues would like to sincerely thank Leo for his many years of commitment, his support, and the countless moments they have shared along the way. They wish him all the very best for this new chapter of life: good health, happiness, plenty of time for family and friends, and many memorable experiences. Leo will be greatly missed, both as a valued colleague and as a trusted friend, and everyone at MARANGONI wishes him a long, happy and fulfilling retirement.
