Dunlop’s new commercial tyres. The PrecurePro line-up includes three levels of tread product; UniTac, a flat tread band and the most economical option in the range, UniWing, a contoured tread band with wings for improved uniformity, and UniCircle, a complete pre-cured tread circle. “PrecurePro’s wide range of pre-cure treads supports fleets in reducing their cost per kilometre by retreading
their tyres and thus extending their new tyre potential with second life capability,” said Goodyear Dunlop in a statement. “PrecurePro is a key element in the tyre’s four-step multiple life concept (new tyre, regrooving, retreading and regrooving) allowing fleets to optimise their initial investment. The programme is part of Goodyear Dunlop’s complete service offering, which as well as providing
commercial benefits also helps to reduce environmental impact.”
The PrecurePro range includes tread patterns that Goodyear Dunlop says will “suit the varying needs of commercial fleet customers.” These include patterns used in the company’s latest commercial vehicle tyres. With the PrecurePro program complementing its new tyres and its MultiTread and NextTread mould cure
retread product ranges, Goodyear Dunlop is confident its portfolio now offers a professional solution that covers virtually every commercial vehicle application.
The pre-cure range is available through Goodyear Dunlop’s network of selected and certified ‘Goodyear Authorised Retreaders’ throughout Europe.

the retread fabrication plant,” said Michel Plourde, president of Provincial Bandag Tires Ltd. “Today, such a system is essential to most businesses such as ours, that want to remain competitive in an environment where decisions must be taken more quickly, with easy access to the right data, and where every company must, at all costs, find its place in the industry.”

G&G Tire Switches to Continental Retreads
Plattsburgh, N.Y.-based G&G Tire is now supplying Continental retreaded truck tyres to three commercial locations from the former Tallmadge Tire dealer group in central New York.
The dealership converted its former Bandag system plant to the Conti
system over the summer, becoming the second official licensee of Continental Tire the Americas' ContiLifeCycle retreading process. Tallmadge Tire of Binghamton, N.Y.; Tallmadge Tire Service of Geneva, N.Y.; and Tallmadge Tire Service of Cortland, N.Y., are distributing
ContiTread tyres produced by G&G, according to CTA.
Kevin Bruno, owner of G&G Tire, said his plant converted to the ContiLifeCycle process in June, adding G&G produces up to 20,000 ContiTreads annually.
“This will set us apart from the other
commercial tyre dealers in the area, to offer these retreads that emulate our flagship Continental new tyre line. I see this as a great advantage for our future and I’m very confident it will be a benefit to us,” said James Scheffer, general manager at Tallmadge Tire of Binghamton.
