For 2013 the goal is to offer a wider range of training and increase the
number of participants, both in total and in the number of covered retreaders, strengthening the presence of the ATC in its offer of best practices and retreading process qualifications of professionals in this area, further affirming its mission.
Chimba Retreads with Moreflex
Perin : 20 Years of Patches and Materials
With over 20 years distributing products for tyre repairing and general accessories for the tyre sector, Perin started business in 1991.
Mr. Nevio Perin, started his activities with a single motorcycle, visiting tyre repair shops, truck centres and all businesses related to tyres and vehicles in the city of Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul State. Gradually, he saw that there was a need for products throughout the region and expanded his area of operation, visiting some neighbouring counties. Currently, the motorcycle has been retired for some years. Perin Trade Parts and Accessories for Vehicles, is present in more than 150 municipalities in the state of
Rio Grande do Sul. Mr Perin and his wife continue to front the business, but have some employees and three vehicles making deliveries. According to Mr. Perin the secret is to work with commitment and good products.
"Our credibility is always great because we provide a good service to our customers and also work with high quality products," says the owner. Among other brands, the main suppliers of his company are Vipal, Scherader, Stampjet, Tortuga, Rinaldi and Tramontina. He finishes by saying "I really enjoy visiting my clients, teaching them how to apply products and receiving ideas from the professionals that have their hands on the products every day”.
Retreads has been in operation since 1991. It is a traditional family from the city of Sao Marcos, Rio Grande do Sul State operated by four brothers who were already working in the transportation of cargo from the early '70s. From the necessity of retreading their own tyres from their fleets, they realised the potential of
cities of Caxias do Sul and Garibaldi, both in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. These new service stations have focused the plan for expansion. These two truck centres are operating as truck service units and points of collection for casings for retreading which subsequently feed the plant in San Marcos.
Brusque Retreads with Borex
Founded 30 years ago in Itajai ,Santa Catarina State, Brazil, Brusque produces around 900 truck tyres per month.
According to the owner, Mr. Milena Becker, the company has opted for Borex as the main supplier based on the financial return obtained and also because the product doesn´t generate waste as it is possible to buy product cut to size for each tyre. Another important point is that the tread comes with
cushion gum applied, generating time savings in preparing for tyre vulcanisation and creating an economy in purchasing.
Allied to these conditions are the variety of designs and patterns, treads the right size, the packaging of individual products (ease in inventory control and lightweight) all of which motivate continued business with Borex as a main supplier.
