21/10/2009 but when we made our first purchase from Borex and retreaded our first tyres five days later, when they came out of the autoclave, it was like a child being born and from that moment on we were sure we had our hands on a quality product” said Souza.
“As we are a small business, we knew we should constantly seek to reduce costs, especially with raw materials but never giving up quality. Borex were able to give us this complete package with which we could grow the market and make
improvements in our industry, increasing our staff and bringing more benefits. All our thanks to Borex for bringing improvements and increasing our competitiveness in the segment, all at the right price and quality”, added Padilha.
Marangoni Authorised Retreaders Participate in Training
In September Marangoni Brazil promoted another training programme for the tyre retreading sector. As part of the University Marangoni, the programme aimed to improve the practices of the company’s authorised retreaders. In this training, more than twenty authorised retreaders from various regions of the country had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the techniques of
scraping, reaming, cementing, preparation and application of the tread and curing autoclaves, among other important procedures of the retreading process.
This action reinforces the commitment that Marangoni has with its authorized retreader network to promote training and prepare retreaders to engage with the market more safely and efficiently.
Lukatec Installs Buffing Machine with Robotic Arm at SL Tyres
Recently, Lukatec installed a tyre buffing machine with robotic arm at SL Tyres in the city of São Bernardo do Campo in São Paulo State. The Group SL has been on the market since 1957 in the tyre retreading business, both in the light and heavy line, and has a tradition of high quality in their services. The company has a Truck Centre with a full range of products and services, in addition to retreading units. Its production capacity in Araraquara is about 2,500 truck tyres, and 200 agricultural/earthmoving tyres per month, whilst the other retreading unity in São Bernardo do Campo has a capacity of 18,000 truck tyres.
After investing in the buffing machine from Lukatec, SL tyres already sees the major advantages of increased productivity, uniformity in the production process and, as a result, greater competitiveness.
Lukatec has broadened considerably the level of its equipment installed at retreaders in Brazil and in Latin America. This reflects the
reliability of the brand and its products, and shows that the market recognises the company as one of the most important manufacturers of machinery for retreading.
