Stalling Economy Hits Brazilian Tyre Sector
Marangoni Argentina Reached 100,000 Rings in April
Brazil largely avoided the full impact of the recent and ongoing economic crisis, but in 2015 it looks like the global crisis has finally hit the Brazilian powerhouse of South American economies.
The tyre repair industry in Espirito Santo closed the first quarter of 2015 with a fall of 16.5 per cent. The number is explained by the reduction in sales of new vehicles in the country, and the knock-on effect this has on the tyre sector. According to the National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave), in the first quarter of the year, cars, trucks and buses fell by 17.02 per cent in sales compared to the same period in 2014.
