Ecuadorian Retreader Durallanta Participates in Training at Vipal

–

Vipal Borrachas hosted retreading clients from Ecuador at the Vipal Technical Center of the Corporate University – Univipal, in Nova Prata (RS), for comprehensive training in Production Management for Tire Retreading Companies. The initiative was organised by Vipal’s branch in Chile and brought together professionals from Durallanta — Daniel Izurieta, Patricio Balarezo and Jerson Riera, all production managers — as well as sales technician Diego Figueroa, from Vipal’s unit in Chile.

Univipal Leading Training

Led by the Univipal Team, the training began with an institutional welcome at Univipal, conducted by Leandro Gustavo Guedes, followed by a company presentation and safety briefings. Over five days of programming, participants experienced a technical immersion that combined theory and practice, focusing on strategic production management and continuous improvement of refurbishment processes.

The agenda included analysis of retreaded tyre complaints and an in-depth look at the truck tyre retreading process, with practical demonstrations and detailed theoretical content. Professionals also participated in discussions on production bottlenecks, performance indicators, lean manufacturing concepts, and strategies for resource optimisation, always with the goal of raising quality standards and increasing operational efficiency.

In addition to the activities carried out at the Technical Center, the group visited Plant II, the CPT – Research and Technology Center, Vipal Máquinas, the Distribution Center, and Vipaltec, broadening their understanding of the industrial structure, investments in technology, and the support offered by Vipal to its partners.

The training provided a systemic view of the retreading companies’ production cycle, demonstrating how targeted adjustments and data-driven decisions can generate significant gains in profitability, greater delivery agility, and maximum product performance for the end user.

The training concluded at AFUVI – the Vipal Borrachas Employees Association – consolidating yet another Vipal initiative aimed at strengthening the technical skills of its clients and promoting the sustainable development of the tyre retreading sector in Latin America.
