PRE-Q® GALGO Corporation proudly participated in Steve Shannon Tire’s retread plant open house this year, helping showcase the retreading process to customers, guests, and their families. More than 150 customers and family members enjoyed plant tours, prizes, games, and an unforgettable barbecue.
Informative, Entertaining Collaboration
The celebration began well before the doors opened. The day before the event, Steve Shannon, Herb Shannon, Jesse Shannon, and Steven Shannon began preparing a 300-pound pig for the barbecue. Cooking it required 18 hours—and an all-night effort—but the delicious results were well worth it.
The open house ran from 10 am to 1 pm and attracted more than 150 customers. Guests enjoyed go-kart racing contests, family-friendly games, prize drawings, cotton candy, and a fully catered lunch featuring the slow-cooked barbecue.
PRE-Q® GALGO added to the excitement by letting attendees register at its booth for a chance to win a 65-inch television as well as reinforce the benefits of retreading.
The highlight of the event was the retread plant itself. Ben Williams, Field Technician and Midwest Regional Sales Manager of PRE-Q® GALGO, along with Eric McCracken, Vice President of Commercial Sales and Retreading at Steve Shannon Tire, conducted guided tours of the plant throughout the day. Together, they led customers and guests through the retreading process, explaining each station and demonstrating how worn tires are carefully refurbished and given new life using both Pre-Q tread and the no Splice O-tread.
The tours were met with tremendous enthusiasm, and participants asked many thoughtful questions about the equipment, processes, and workmanship involved in producing a quality retreaded tire.
PRE-Q® GALGO was honored to support Steve Shannon Tire and help make the open house an informative, entertaining, and memorable event for everyone who attended.
