GIIB Rubber Compound Sdn. Bhd. (GIIB), A rubber compound technology company and subsidiary of GIIB Holdings Bhd, today announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Stamford Tyres International Pte. Ltd. (Stamford Tyres), a major tyre distributor and retreader headquartered in Singapore.

Retreading Collaboration

This landmark collaboration is poised to promote significant green initiatives and accelerate the adoption of circular-economy practices for truck and bus tyres in Singapore.

The MOU, signed on September 12, 2025, outlines a framework for GIIB to supply advanced, sustainable tyre retreading materials, including recycled rubber compounds and eco-friendly tread liners for integration into Stamford Tyres’ retreading operations.

Qisheng Tai, CEO of GIIB, expressed strong optimism about the partnership. “Tyre retreading by itself is an environmental business by reducing tyres in the landfill. This collaboration with Stamford Tyres is a powerful step forward for the entire industry because we are using sustainable and green materials made from tyre waste. We are building a truly circular economy for the future, reducing waste, and creating sustainable value.
